Rangnick is renowned for deploying a 4-2-2-2 formation, but Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic believes that after poor performance in yesterday's game 1-1 tie with Newcastle United, the German may reconsider his ideas.
It sparked a lot of discussion on Twitter, with some fans blaming Rangnick of not adhering to his guns, whereas others urged him to play the 4-2-3-1 formation that #Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferred.

However, United supporters will be hoping for a quick comeback from their team in the coming weeks, regardless of the style he employs.

The aforesaid draw with Newcastle witnessed another poor effort from the Red Devils, who were happy to escape St James' Park with a point.
In the match, David de Gea produced a number of excellent saves, but Edinson Cavani's quick strike saved their blushes in the north east.

Marcus Rashford, who had a night against the Newcastle, was among United's several attacking players who received a lot of flak on the night.
The Red Devils are currently in a battle to finish in the top four, and they come back and play on Thursday night when Burnley visit Old Trafford.
United will be looking to close the seven-point deficit among themselves and fourth-placed Arsenal, and they do have 2 matches left to play.
