Former Sporting Club Initiate Contact Regarding Cristiano Ronaldo's Transfer Following Links To Chelsea

Cristiano Ronaldo is the subject of a surprise move from Sporting and the Portuguese squad has got in touch in an effort to revive Ronaldo to the club.

After 13 years away, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United last summer, and he attempted to make an impression despite the team's miserable season.

Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d'Or winner, recorded 24 goals in his first season back with the Premier League team. However, due to their lack of success and the concerning delay in strengthening in the summer window, Ronaldo is apparently unhappy.

Sources a few days ago revealed that he is prepared to leave the club, and he has since been connected with both Chelsea and  Roma, with a meeting allegedly reportedly taking place between both the Blues' new owner and Jorge Mendes.

Sporting are ready to bring him back to the club he departed for Manchester in 2003 if he is permitted to quit Old Trafford.

Sporting understands that Ronaldo loves winning titles," a source said the Sun, adding that the club had already interacted with the 37-year-old.

That appears to be a long way off at United right now, and time is running out for Cristiano.

So what good strategy to end his career than to return home and play in Portugal?

It's a powerful league with a beautiful lifestyle.

Senior officials have made inquiries and informed Ronaldo that if he decides to quit United, they are eager.

United have undoubtedly appeared short of winning titles after Jose Mourinho, who desires the player at Roma, leaved the north west of England in December 2018.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's club did reach a lot of semi-finals, and the Europa League final in 2021, but they didn't look like they were going to win anything last season.

They ended 35 points behind victors Manchester City and were eliminated in the 4th round of the FA Cup, the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup, and the last Sixteen of the Champions League, with only single knockout game won.

United couldn't even take the 4th-place 'award,' finishing 13 points beyond 4th-placed Tottenham Hotspur, and Ronaldo was missed out on Champions League participation for the first time in a long time.

Sporting won the League Cup in Portugal and finished second, just 6 points below champions Benfica, and appear more likely to succeed more trophy than Erik ten Hag's squad right now.

That's not the first time his previous club has been connected with Ronaldo, as Real Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer was reportedly set to resume them in April 2021.

This is according to the player's mother, Dolores Aveiro, who stated, "I'm heading to Turin to talk with him. He will move to Alvalade next year if I can encourage him."

He would, sure, quit Turin, but for Manchester; perhaps it isn't just his mother who wishes she could have convinced him to return to Sporting...
