Bruno Fernandes Said NOT to Reply in English When Questioned About Cristiano Ronaldo

Bruno Fernandes had an unpleasant exchange with an English journalist after being asked about Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from Manchester United.

Ronaldo has agreed to quit Manchester United by mutual consent, effective immediately, following his contentious interview with Piers Morgan last week.

Fernandes, his previous club and international teammate, answered media questions ahead of Portugal's World Cup opener against Ghana on Thursday.

And, of course, he was questioned about the exit of 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, but he was advised to respond in Portuguese instead of English.

An English journalist asked Fernandes about the consequences of losing a great player in Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, and he requested an answer in English.

The Portugal media officer shook his head and told, he will not respond in English.

The Manchester United player then responded in Portuguese, with the online translation applicationservice switched off.

However, his comments on Ronaldo leaving Manchester United finally made their way online.

[It's been an opportunity to play for both club and country with him,] he added. It was a dream of mine, but nothing is eternal.
Everyone is concentrated on the World Cup here. Everyone understands what it needs to represent their country.

Ronaldo has previously been linked with a number of teams, with Newcastle United reportedly interested in acquiring the legendary forward.

Following his exit from Old Trafford, he is looking for a "new challenge.

Following discussions with Manchester United, we have mutually decided to terminate our contract," he stated in a tweet released on Wednesday.

[I adore Manchester United and its supporters, and that won't change.]

It appears that the moment has come to seek a new challenge.

[I wish Manchester United the best of luck.]

Ronaldo will try to disregard his club distractions in order to lead Portugal to World Cup victory.
