Gary Neville Reveals The Manager Who Probably Wouldn't Take Charge Of Manchester United

Gary Neville has rejected any discussion of Antonio Conte taking over as manager of Manchester United, claiming that he would not be a better choice at Old Trafford.

United were defeated 4-2 at Leicester City on Saturday, ending the club's 29-game unbeaten record away from home.

Following 4 wins in their first 5 matches, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team has underperformed recently, are winless in their last 3 Premier League matches.

Many managers have been mentioned as potential replacements for Solskjaer if the club decides to fire him.

Conte won the League title with Chelsea, and is currently unemployed after quitting Inter Milan in the summertime.

The former Italy manager led the Nerazzurri to their 1st Scudetto since 2010, although he moved by mutual agreement.
Despite being a proven winner, Neville does not anticipate Manchester to contact Conte & compares the situation to the failed Jose Mourinho hire.

"I do not even suppose Conte will be the manager of Man Utd," the Sky Sports analyst remarked during an Instagram live.

"Honestly, I don't expect they'll take that approach. He's a fantastic manager, but I believe that some managers are better suited to certain clubs, and I don't believe Conte is the right fit for United.

As I earlier mentioned, he is an excellent manager, but he does not feel  exactly as  good as for me.

Honestly, I don't want in giving someone a team. 'Offer Jose a squad, and then we'll surely win the league,' we tested with Jose.

Despite a troubling run and a style of game that hasn't been especially entertaining to watch, Solskjaer is thought to have the support of the Manchester board.

Meanwhile, Conte had the opportunity to return to manager in the summer but turned it down.

He said Gazzetta dello Sport about his reasoning for the snub: "Rather, I go for projects, and I am prepared to sit at home if anything does not persuade me.
Everything basically comes down to passion, integrity, and principles. In principle, I enjoy challenges and have taken on a number of them throughout my career.

Even the greatest teams I've coached weren't favorites when I first came.

However, if something does not please me, I will decline to accept, regardless of the financial value.
