Cristiano Ronaldo's Future Has Been Decided By Juventus

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A is still uncertain. He returned to Juventus on Monday for pre-season training.

After next summer's expiration of his €30m-per-year deal, Juventus might lose the 36-year-old forward for nothing in next year 2022 if they don't sell forward this summer or offer him a new contract.

Ronaldo's future at the club has been in the spotlight as the Portugal star was set to leave the club if they failed to qualify for the champions League next season. The Legend is in linked with a move away from Allianz Arena in recent months, with Paris Saint-Germain among those tipped to sign him.

Last week, Gazzette dello Sport reported that Ronaldo would choose to stay at Juventus for the 2021-22 season, and that the club would support his decision.

According to reports, Ronaldo became irritated at the close of the season because former Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo benched him for their last league game due to "fatigue."

The 36-year-old then made an unusual Instagram post, claiming that he had completed everything he had set out to do since landing in Italy.

Those remarks sparked curiosity about his future, despite the fact that he still has a year left on his Turin contract.

Ronaldo's eye-watering wage of roughly a million dollar per week, on the other hand, could be seen as a financial stumbling block for Juventus as they attempt to improve other areas of the pitch.

Following his heroics at Euro 2020, when he won the Golden Boot with five goals, the Portuguese sensation was given extra time off.

Ronaldo recently sent a mysterious statement on social media, sparking even more conjecture about his future.

In an Instagram image that swiftly racked up seven million likes, Ronaldo posed next to his Rolls Royce and captioned "Decision day." Make what you will of it.
