Chelsea Superstar Is 'Honored' By Bayern Munich Interest, But Followers Are Upset He Will Be Moving

With his agreement about to expire this summer, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has stated he felt honoured by Bayern Munich's interest.

Since Thomas Tuchel's arrival in January, the 28-year-old has been a star performer, and he's yet to accept terms on a new contract.

Several clubs have indicated interest, with Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann recently admitting to being a great fan.

Rudiger has now reacted to those statements while serving with Germany on international assignment, telling BILD: "My future? That works for me because I'm happy in Chelsea right now.

FC Bayern's involvement honours me since it demonstrates that I've managed a few things the right way recently.

Despite these statements, Rudiger's future is said to be "totally open.

Nagelsmann stated that the former Roma player has made 'great' progress in 2021.

Normally, I am not a supporter of debating players that are under obligation with other teams whilst we are outside the trade window," he stated to The Sun.

However, I'm speaking to Rudiger as a football lover. He's made incredible progress.

Thomas Tuchel has controlled him exceptionally well since after taking over. Earlier he was on the chopping block at Chelsea.

However, currently he is one of their very essential defender. He has an incredible combative spirit and is an excellent defender.
I often find it fascinating when a player does exactly what he's supposed to do, and Toni is no exception.

Despite being shut out by former boss Frank Lampard, Rudiger is emerged as an important player.

He assisted the Blues win the Champions League past season and has begun every match this season.

According to the Mirror, Rudiger is asking the Blues for up to £400,000 a week, which would make him the club's top paid player.

Chelsea has offered Rudiger a fresh £130,000-per-week contract, but it is much less than the salary of the club's biggest earner, Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku earns £325,000 each week, and it's believed Rudiger aims to get closer to that figure.

Do you suppose Antonio Rudiger will move from Chelsea?
