After a Napoli striker tried to intercept him, the ball became locked beneath his feet.

Messi then collided with the ground, but continued and pushed the ball back into his direction before attempting to shoot.

As he was dying, the Argentine beautifully curled a drive into the back of the net to score a sensational goal for Barcelona.

Although he did not support in assist, credit must be given to Luis Suarez for not interfering with Messi's flow and allowing him to do his job.

Messi's goal versus Napoli was called the "most underrated" effort of his career by a Messi fan account.

One Person on twitter responded to Messi's score by tweeting: Despite falling in the box, he did not take the dive and stood up to complete what he began. My GOAT.

If anybody else had scored it, he would have been honoured with Puskas, another commented.

Koulibaly price went down 10M suddenly that night, a 3rd remarked.

Loved Suarez allowing Lionel Messi maintain his flow, said a fourth.
