Manchester United was given a penalty in the FA Cup final by VAR Following a Handball by Jack Grealish

Following a VAR review, Manchester United was given a contentious penalty against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

As the game continued, Jack Grealish was ruled to have handled the ball within the area, and game referee Paul Tierney examined the incident on the pitch line monitor.

After a VAR review, he directed to the spot, and Bruno Fernandes made no mistake from there to tie the game at one.

Simply to say, the decision by VAR to give the penalty as a consequence of Grealish's handball sparked outrage on social media.

One fan twitted: "Ifab must address the handball law quickly!"

"Yes, because it's a handball, if it's by mistake or not," twitted a second.
The same is true in both directions! If any of our player touched it, City supporters would say yeah."

A 3rd fan twitted: "Games gone, see how near Grealish is, what can he do?

4th guy twitted: Time the rules moved back to if one's hand hits it it's handball so everybody understands where they stand.

"Poor judgement by the officials never a penalty," commented another.
