Manchester United Set To Benefit If Chelsea Get Romelu Lukaku For £100 Million

Chelsea's probable acquisition of Romelu Lukaku will provide Manchester United with an unexpected reward during the transfer season.

Chelsea are keen to recruit a striker to their club this season, and they are willing to pay a lot of money to do it. They did all they could to encourage Borussia Dortmund to sell Erling Haaland a year before his move release clause kicks in, however the Bundesliga club demanded about £170 million for the Norwegian.

Because Manchester City is more likely to sign Harry Kane, the Blues have opted to make Lukaku their first choice.

The English club is said to have made an offer of £85.4 million plus Marcos Alonso for the attacker, but Inter Milan is demanding closer to £100 million, with the striker keen to join.

United will  get a bonus of £5 million if Inter are able to get what they want from the European champions. Before going to Italy, the 28-year-old played two distinct seasons at Old Trafford, recording 42 goals in 96 games.

United signed a 5 percent sell-on clause with the Serie A winners,  Telegraph said, and will be expecting that the Nerazzurri have as much money as possible out of the sale of the Belgian.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be encouraged by the £5 million transfer fee, which isn't much else in the transfer window but will help him in his quest to win the Premier League championship.

Manchester United have welcomed Jadon Sancho to their squad this summertime, and Raphael Varane is set to join them within the next week.

He still hopes to recruit a defensive midfielder and right back but must now depend on sales in the transfer market to do so. A little more money without doing any job might be really helpful for Solskjaer.

Chelsea, on the other side, will not be bothered if United is given money since they are eager for a striker.

Timo Werner recorded 6 goals in the league since coming in the last summer, and Lukaku's skill offers them a chance to compete with Manchester City.
