Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi Are 'Not As Good As Mohamed Salah Right Now', Former Liverpool Star Says

Former Liverpool player said, No one is greater than Mohamed Salah, not even Ronaldo or Messi right now.

Liverpool made short work of what could be a challenging group phase match in Portugal, with scores from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane bringing the old band back together.

Lionel made headlines on Tuesday night when he scored a spectacular goal for PSG versus Manchester City that even leave pundits losing their sense.

The Reds exploded for 5 goals at the Estadio do Dragao, extending their position at the top of Group C.

It was another classic Salah play, as he continues to show why he is one of the finest footballers on the world season after season.

In fact, a few in the footballing community consider Salah is the greatest player in the game right now.

The Egyptian star has now scored 8 goals in 8 matches for Jurgen Klopp's team this season, and former Liverpool star Dean Saunders feels no one is as brilliant as Salah right now.

"Right now, who is greater than him?" Saunders inquired on talkSPORT just earlier replying himself.

"8 goals in 8 matches on the right wing; he's never playing down the middle." "There is also Ronaldo and Messi on their own, and they're not as excellent as Salah right now."

Messi's debut in Paris has not yet gone as well as many had expected, despite the fact that he's only played four matches in the French city, with one off the bench.

Ronaldo's move to Man Utd has gone well so far, with 4 goals in 4 games,  the team's achievements haven't exactly lived up to expectations.

When asked whether he would rather have Salah or Cristiano on his team, Saunders replied, "Right now, Salah."
It's fine to assume Ronaldo, but Salah sounds like he's going to goal each week right now."

While he doesn't have the lifetime accomplishments of Messi or Ronaldo, based on current form, Salah is unquestionably the better pick.

Having said that, Messi showed us last night what he is made of with his magnificent strike, and you'll never rule out Cristiano for too long.

Peter Crouch and Joe Cole have both publicly raved about Salah, with the former Chelsea star even contrasting the 29-year-old to Lionel Messi.

Liverpool supporters will be hoping that the former Roma and Fiorentina forward will stay for a long time, as his contract is set to end in 2023.

The star apparently wants roughly £500,000 per week to continue through that age, when he'll be 31 but still one of the finest in the world.
