Cristiano Ronaldo Is Considering Leaving Manchester United Due To 'Lionel Messi Fear'

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to quit Manchester United because he is afraid Argentine Star Lionel Messi will break his Champions League record.

On Saturday, it was claimed that Ronaldo has urged the Old Trafford club to allow him depart if a 'satisfactory offer' arrives in for him.

Cristiano has 1 year left on his 2 year contract, that he agreed last summer following his spectacular move to Manchester United from Juventus.

Having added Ronaldo to their ranks, United had a terrible 21/22 season, failing to qualify for the Champions League while finishing 6th in the Premier League with the club's lowest points total.

But now, Cristiano is evaluating his future, and ex Chelsea and Celtic striker Tony Cascarino claims that Ronaldo only decides to quit Man Utd because he is afraid that his Champions League milestone could be broken.

With 141 goals, the Portuguese legend is presently the leading scorer in the history of Europe's premier competition, with biggest rival Lionel Messi coming in 2nd with 125 goals.

Leo Messi will play in the Champions League for Paris Saint-Germain next season, while Ronaldo will play in the Europa League if he continues with Manchester United.

Cascarino said talkSPORT: [Cristiano Ronaldo is a player, as always, with an attitude. Most of it is about him, and the clubs he's performed for have been successful, so as a team player, you usually go with that].
[Great, he scores a lot of goals, he receives the honors, he's one of the best players ever." It's good to have all of that as much as you're succeeding. If you don't succeed, you have a problem].

[I told to you off-air, I'm a little worried since he's scored 141 goals in the Champions League," he said. Lionel has 125 points. He doesn't want to miss out on playing in the Champions League since he aims to be the best Champions League goalscorer of all time and that is how CR7 is created].

As per The Athletic report, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are looking on Ronaldo's position, as it was revealed last week that CR7's agent, Jorge Mendes, had got in touch with the Stamford Bridge club. Napoli is also thought to be interested in signing Ronaldo.

United's opinion, on the other hand, has not changed; they are sure that Cristiano is not for sale.

Do you think that, Cristiano be playing for Manchester United when the new season begins? Time will only tell.
