The Croatian enters 37 coming month, but you'd never believe it based on his magnificent performance in the 4-1 victory against Celta on Saturday night.

Karim Benzema began the score with a penalty in the 14th minute, just before hosts were granted a penalty of their own, which was converted by talisman Iago Aspas.

But, from roughly 25 yards out, Modric revived Real's lead with a spectacular looping long-range drive into the top corner.
That was his 33rd goal for Los Blancos in La Liga, with 18 of them coming from outside the zone.

The ex Spurs player then turned provider, laying on the most beautiful defense-splitting pass in behind for Vinicius Jr to run in and score it 3-1.

Dani Ceballos came on for Modric after 77 minutes. Following putting on a strong performance, the ex Spurs player received a standing appreciation from the home crowd at Estadio de Balados.
The cameras switched to the Celta fans, who were up on their feet and cheering to express their respect for one of the world's top midfielders.

Modric has recently gotten rapturous applause from a variety of different groups of fans, such as Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Levante, and Alaves.

When questioned about the subsequent response, Modric remarked, [It's a really wonderful thing, and it's amazing when supporters from other sides express their thanks and congratulate you.  I'm overjoyed, and I'd like to thank those peoples for making this possible].

It was Modric's initial appearance without long-time midfield teammate Casemiro, who is going to be join Manchester United.

He and Toni Kroos have written heartfelt messages to the Brazilian, and Modric has urged everyone else to step up.

[It's a pity, we've made history with him here, he's been an important player for us," he continued. We'll miss him as a player and as a man, but it's all part of the game.
