Manchester United Secured 3 Points Against West Ham After Crazy Last Few Minutes

West Ham vs. Manchester United concluded in spectacular fashion, with Jesse Lingard scored the game-winning goal in the final minutes, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side still required David de Gea's efforts.

Last Tuesday, Lingard was the hero for Solskjaer's squad, as his mistake set up Talented Boys' surprising Champions League victory.

He came on in the 2nd half on Sunday to face the side he was loaned to in the latter part of last season, amid cheers from the home supporters, with the score tied at 1-1 and it looked like the clubs would split the spoils.

Lingard scored a great goal only with minutes remaining to put his side up 2-1, and it seemed like the game was finished.

Nevertheless, West Ham saved a penalty in extra time following Luke Shaw was deemed to have touched the football while trying to block a penalty.

David Moyes made a replacement, bringing on club captain Mark Noble in place of Jarrod Bowen, with the sole intention of getting the spot kick to tie the match.

Rather than Noble, it had David de Gea who appeared as the star, save the penalty from the West Ham midfielder to earn all 3 points for Solskjaer's club.

West Ham grabbed the lead in the 1st half, as they did in the previous season, as Said Benrahma's strike deflected off Raphael Varane and into the goal on the ½ hour mark.

The lead remained only 5 minutes, as Cristiano Ronaldo got it 4 scores in 3 matches for his team since his comeback after twelve year break.
He met Bruno Fernandes' attempt in the box and could just play it at Lukasz Fabianski, whose save merely deflected the football towards the striker, who reacted quickly to equalise.

Cristiano appealed again when he felt he should've been given a penalty, but the referee & VAR correctly concluded that he was not.

A 3rd foul on the five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared to be a penalty, but Lingard's finish capped an unbelievable game.
