According to the report, President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is allegedly prioritizing a sustainable approach to managing the club's on-field performance. This involves reducing the reliance on big-name players and instead focusing on nurturing local French talent. 

This strategic shift may provide an opportunity for Lionel Messi to make a comeback to Barcelona, as the club is reportedly keen to sign him. However, the only obstacle in the way of such a deal would be their financial situation.

It is common knowledge that Barcelona has been facing severe financial troubles lately. The club is reportedly at risk of losing young prospect Gavi for free this summer, as they lack the funds to register his new contract.
