Cristiano Ronaldo Raced To Join Counter Attack Against Arsenal In The 88th Minute Despite Being Injured

Cristiano Ronaldo's 2 goals may have carried him to today's back pages, but something else attracted the attention later on.

United felt an opportunity to counterattack after they cleared an Arsenal corner in the 88th minute, despite being 3-2 up at the time.

Jadon Sancho dribbled virtually the entire length of the field before squaring for one of the goalscorers, Bruno Fernandes.

United's lead was not extended because the Portugal international hit a poor shot against Gabriel.

However Ronaldo, who had busted a gut to belt it down the left side, was overlooked by Jadon Sancho and the majority of the Arsenal defenders.

As soon the ball was passed to Fernandes, he leaned down and took a breather, clearly suffering from hamstring trouble. He was forced to leave the game moments later due to a hamstring injury.

It was a scene that highlighted the elite attitude of the United star's.

If Ronaldo didn't have such an elite, professional mentality, there's a good probability he'd still be the highest scorer in men's international football history, in addition to holding the majority of his other crazy records.

Prior his arrival, Manchester United's top names expressed their excitement to see how the Portugal superstar trains.

Despite the fact that many individuals have scored more goals goals – plenty more goals – Ronaldo's brace against Arsenal were his 800th and 801st highest level goals.

He's the very first guy in the history of the sport to record that many goals at the professional level.

With the second-half double, he increased his career record against the Arsenal to 8 goals.

United fans must now endure a little painful wait to know the extent of their No. 7's injury.

However, it appeared to be the type of muscle twinge that older athletes get from time to time, instead of a strained hamstring, which may be more dangerous.

Now Cristiano Ronaldo has 6 Premier League goals this season. Only Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Jamie Vardy, and Sadio Mané have plenty.
